TIIKM Sri Lanka, welcomes all the researchers, academicians, scholars and activists to submit abstracts for the International Conference on Climate Change 2017 (ICCC 2017) which will be held on February 16th and 17th, 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka under the theme “Climate Change: Facing the challenge beyond COP21”.
ICCC 2017 will continue its momentum in 2017 to explore a platform to exchange ideas on Climate Change, discover new opportunities, reacquaint with colleagues, meet new friends, and broaden their knowledge. chemists, physicists, biologists, material scientists, biomedical researchers, engineers, environmentalists, social workers and other researchers who are active at the frontiers of this diverse and multidisciplinary field are encouraged to spread knowledge through the ICCC-2017 which will act as a global platform.
A change to atmosphere’s physical and chemical environments have the potential of directly affecting the quality of life and even the very existence of some forms of life. Human induced climate change as well as other global environmental issues threatens our ability to meet the very basic human needs. Since the Industrial Revolution, increased greenhouse effect has caused earth’s surface temperature to rise. Taking measures to control the temperature rise through national and global level contributions has become an urgent need, as discussed broadly at the COP 21 held in Paris in 2015.The ICCC-2017 will deliver executive round table discussions, an exhibition, special sessions, a social networking dinner, a cultural show and an optional post conference tour.
Participants are also welcome to submit abstracts either for a 20-minute oral presentation or a poster presentation. Parallel sessions are loosely grouped into streams reflecting different perspectives or disciplines. Each stream also has its own discussion sessions. For those who are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual participation is also available through Registration.
